I’ve always been sheepish when calling myself a consultant! Why? My perception of a consultant is a big-wig who rocks up to site, does a bit of work, chats to a few managers, writes a massive report (of which 95% is generic stuff, and 98% never gets read) and finishes up by sending a massive bill! Sound familiar?

Even with our ‘consultancy’ arm, we’ve always tried to keep it real. Simple, succint reports, reasonable rates, customised services to meet the clients needs and budget. We’d prefer to work with our clients, not just for them!

And then there’s the issue of credibility with the troups…but that’s for the next blog!
